North Carolina law requires new residents to obtain an NC driver's license within 60 days of establishing residency. You'll also need to register your vehicle within 30 days if you plan to drive it in the state.

Vehicle Registration
For vehicle registration, you'll visit a License Plate Agency (walk-in only). Bring your current title, proof of insurance, and be prepared for NC vehicle inspection. Property tax is also due at registration.
